Client: Pharmaceutical organization
Region: Global
Industry: Health Care

Challenge

The client is a multinational Healthcare company with operations in 60 plus countries. Upon the client's acquisition of a medical device manufacturer, the imperative arose for a meticulously crafted roadmap to facilitate the seamless IT integration of both entities without disruptions. The client's IT leadership prioritized the engagement of a proficient team capable of overseeing end-to-end IT integration. A specialized focus on profound expertise in both IT post-merger integration and IT operating model design became essential to navigate the intricacies of aligning the technological frameworks of the two organizations successfully. This strategic approach aimed at ensuring a harmonious integration process while leveraging extensive experience in managing the complexities inherent in post-merger scenarios.

Our Approach

Our specialists were actively involved in supporting the IT integration post-acquisition, collaborating with a strategic partner. Leveraging extensive expertise in IT post-merger integration, our M&A professionals meticulously devised and executed a comprehensive project plan for IT integration. A structured schedule was established for network, hardware rollout, and communications, incorporating leading help desk practices with ServiceNow to enhance the user experience and ensure audit compliance. The outcome of the project includes the seamless transition of over 30 sites to centralized network services, consolidation of hardware and software assets, and streamlined application services. This initiative provided enterprise-wide visibility into the acquired entity's current and future infrastructure needs, facilitating the simplification of the IT estate by consolidating, eliminating, and centralizing service contracts. Additionally, the project yielded valuable insights into all IT contracts for future negotiations. The migration of business applications to the client's SAP ERP system further contributed to the simplification of the client's IT footprint.
